What is the Comedy Café?
The Tuscaloosa Comedy Café is an annual fund-raising event to support the work of Youth For Christ and it’s outreaches to the youth of Tuscaloosa. This unique event combines dinner, family-friendly comedy and a creative program to highlight the youth of Tuscaloosa and tell the YFC story.
The Comedy Café is now in its 11th year. It has become an incredible event with hundreds of guests each year.
Who is Youth For Christ?
Youth for Christ is an international Christian movement, with over 130 chapters in the United States alone. YFC works together with the local church and other like-minded partners to reach young people everywhere. YFC pursues young people who often feel overlooked to build relationships at pivotal moments with the goal of raising up lifelong followers of Jesus. What does it cost?
There is no cost to attend. All expenses for the evening are covered by generous event sponsors who believe in the great work of Youth For Christ.
What can I expect?
The Comedy Café is a night to get out, enjoy dinner with friends and have a good laugh over clean comedy. Expect to walk away from the night feeling inspired and encouraged by stories and testimony from YFC staff, volunteers, and even local students. At the end of the night, you will be given the opportunity to put your faith into action by joining YFC in their mission to reach more teenagers with the love of Christ.
How long does it last?
Dinner will be served at 6:00. The program begins at 6:30 and will conclude by 8:00.
Can I bring my young kids or teenagers?
Tonight’s event is for adults only. Those that want to learn about the great work of Youth For Christ. If you would like to connect your teenager to us, please call or email us. And we will not have childcare available at the event.

SHAWN REYNOLDS is a nationally touring comedian whose Dry Bar Comedy special has amassed MILLIONS of views. He has headlined multiple tours including the MidWest Clean Comedy All-Stars Tour and the UpStanding Comedy Tour in Canada. He has appeared on TBN, CircleTV, locally on ABC & NBC, was a finalist in Chicago’s National “Clean Comedy Challenge” and he’s the WINNER of the “Funniest Comic East of the Mississippi” competition. He’s also the founder of “Stand-Up For Adoption”; a comedy benefit series that has raised thousands for families trying to adopt children with special needs.
